Research commissioned by Jeju Special Self-Governing Province has revealed Hallasan National Park as Jeju’s best run tourist site. The study, announced by a Jeju Province spokesperson on Jan. 24, evaluated the management of a number of tourist attractions on Jeju between Nov. 29 and Dec. 21 using a sophisticated points system.

Hallasan National Park took first place with 84.8 points, followed by the Jeju Folklore and Natural History Museum and Jeju Museum of Art with 79.5 and 77.4 respectively. Jeolmul National Recreation Forest, Jeju Stone Park and Jeju Starlight World Park and Planetarium were also placed high in the rankings. The study took into account such criteria as hospitality, state of the site’s facilities (including infrastructure, amenities and navigation tools) and the number of visitors passing through each surveyed tourist attraction. — Headline Jeju
