Respected jazz trio Vian Trio will perform at Jeju’s Cafe Seba later in February. Established in 2006, Vian Trio consists of pianist Vian, bassist Lee Won Sool, and drummer Han Ung Won. The three instrumentalists also have stellar careers as solo musicians.
- Acclaimed for his creativity, imagination and sensitivity, jazz pianist Vian has released four albums to date: “Twenty Plus“ (2006), “Ordinary Days“ (2008), “Song, My Eternal Love“ (2010) and “The Great Korean Songbook“ (2011).
- Bassist Lee Won Sool’s playing features the delicate interplay of jazz and classical music. He released his first solo album “Point Of Contact“ in 2012.
- Drummer Han Ung Won has been called a “rising star” of Korean jazz and has become one of the most popular drummers with his fellow jazz musicians. His album “Traveling To Face Myself” was released in 2011.
The trio next head to Busan, Daegu, Daejeon and Seoul. This is their first national tour.
