The following is a translated summary of a report from the local press. It has been edited for clarity, including the addition of links and information needed for readers unfamiliar with Jeju. — Ed.
From March, two intercity bus terminals in Seogwipo City — one in the old section of the city and the other in the new — will be integrated into the newer one at Jeju World Cup Stadium (Sinsigaji, 신시가지).
Officials from Jeju Special Self-Governing Province said the move had been made to reduce confusion and inconvenience to passengers.
The bus schedules will change; however the location of bus stops will remain the same. There will be 74 round-trip bus runs between Seogwipo and Jeju City terminals, each departing at 12- to 15-minute intervals. A single round-trip run takes two-and-a-half hours.
To promote the changes, notices will be displayed at the bus stops and thoroughfares, as well as announcements at the terminals and on intercity buses. — Halla Ilbo
