Jeju Special Self-Governing Province has announced that China, Japan and Taiwan will have expanded service to Jeju later this year, marking a substantial increase in weekly flights to the island directly from overseas.

At present, 72 non-stop weekly flights from 21 cities arrive at Jeju International Airport. This will increase to 83 weekly flights from 29 cities, predominantly from the Northeast Asian region.

It was reported that between January and February of this year, 174,000 overseas visitors came to Jeju, a year on year increase of 35 percent.
