The Jeju Philharmonic Orchestra was established in 1985 and has been supported by Jeju Special Self-Governing Province since 2008. As a representative orchestra in Jeju, it plays an ever increasing number of concerts here every year and helps increase awareness about the performing arts.

Violin: Kim Yoon Hee
Kim Yoon Hee was born on Jeju and began studying the violin at age three. After a successful debut performance with the Hungary Savaria Orchestra in Europe at the age of five, she performed with renowned orchestras including the Monte-Carlo Philharmonic Orchestra. Hailed as a violin genius, Kim has appeared on CNN and a private national French TV channel TF1. Kim has plans to graduate this year from Vienna’s University of Music and Performing Arts and is scheduled to perform with Royal Philharmonic Orchestra and Berlin Symphony Orchestra next year.
