The Jeju Museum of Contemporary Art will host an exhibition with the intriguing title “Beyond Realism – Geurimipnikka? (Is it a painting?).” Thirty eight works of art from three famous Korean artists, each with their own distinctive style, will be shown.
Kang Kang Hoon will demonstrate his specialty of photographic realism. The amount of detail in the painting may surprise viewers and give the impression that it is a photograph.
Park Dae Cho, the second featured artist, usually covers social issues like war, using a technique of painting on photographic film.
And finally, Vandal, the artist who is widely considered to have introduced graffiti art to Korea, has paintings on show that make a very strong impression.
