Basic taxi fares on Jeju for all sizes of taxis will increase on July 1, based on a 2012 proposal put by the taxi driver’s union.
Users of Jeju taxis will see the following increases:
Fares for medium-sized taxis (defined as carrying three passengers in the back and one in the front) will rise by 19.5 percent from 2,200 won to 2,800 won.
Smaller-sized taxis will see an increase from 1,900 won to 2,200 won.
Large-sized taxis (taxi vans designed to carry a larger number of people and increased amount of luggage) will increase from 3,300 won to 3,800 won.
